Brainwashing 101Brainwashing - Hypnosis - NLP

In today’s society, we have to ask ourselves……”Are my thoughts my own?”Do we REALLY think for ourselves or make our own decisions?

Even things as simple as what toothpaste to use, what to have for lunch or what to wear might be decided for you. If you watch TV (yes, even if the sound is muted) you are being hypnotized and influenced without even knowing it. When you watch movies, talk shows, the news, commercials, listen to music, or read ANYTHING you are being hypnotized, influenced……and YES…..mind-controlled.

How do I know about mind-control? I am an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner and a Master Hypnotist. In other words, I have been highly trained in mind-control by none-other than Richard Bandler, the genius co-creator of NLP. He could make you do or say anything. He is that good. He also said: “You can use NLP to do really good things, or you can be an A…..hole.” My choice was always to do good things with my skills, but unfortunately many highly trained NLP specialists use their skills for what I consider to be unethical, inexcusable, and unadulterated EVIL.

Mind –control is all about bypassing the critical thinking part of your brain with distraction, or hypnosis. Once this is accomplished, your subconscious mind is wide open to accept whatever outlandish suggestion they want to put in there. Your brain is wired to accept these things, no questions asked. This is especially true with children. Young children are ALWAYS in a state of hypnosis, so pay attention to what they are watching, reading and to who might be influencing them.

NLP IN ADVERTISING

Every single commercial is specially designed by a horde of brain-washing specialists whose only concern is to convince you to buy their product, and they will use any means possible to do this. If they need to sell pharmaceuticals that will kill you (which would be just about ANY OF THEM), they will do so without a fleck of conscience whatsoever. They only care about two things: Selling their product and getting money from you. The music and lyrics used in commercials are chosen to influence the right demographics. Sixties music is played to influence baby-boomers, while current music is played to control the younger population. Everything is controlled from tempo, beat and lyrics. The pictures and videos flash on the screen at just the right rate to put you into an automatic state of hypnosis. The more distracted you are, the better it works. Suggestions are thrown into your subconscious mind so fast you don’t even have a clue it’s happening. Even if you are watching a movie or television show on which the TV is playing quietly in the background, you can be influenced by whatever they are saying.

Subliminal advertising (flashing words and statements on the screen so briefly they aren’t detected by the conscious mind) is illegal in other countries, such as Australia and England, but in the United States there is no law on the books against it. It is however controlled by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). They will revoke a company’s broadcast license if it can be proven, but by its very nature, it can often be difficult to detect and prove. I have found subliminal advertisements myself while rewinding television shows on my DVR player. They are still there, they will try to influence you, and you won’t even know it.

“Subliminal programming is designed to be perceived on a subconscious level only. Regardless of whether it is effective, the use of subliminal perception is inconsistent with a station's obligation to serve the public interest because the broadcast is intended to be deceptive. (Federal Communications Commission Record, 2001)” –From FCC Manual for Broadcasters

TELEVISION SHOWS, CARTOONS AND MOVIES

Everything I have said about advertising also applies to television shows, cartoons and movies. Do we care if our children are being influenced daily by subliminal messages in cartoons and the children's programs they are watching? I’m sure your answer to this question is a resounding “YES!”  Perhaps the only way we can protect our children is to pass a law against subliminal programming.

Even if there is no subliminal message in a show or movie, there are still plenty of other techniques used to sway you to their viewpoint. The hypnosis we are under when watching these things makes us susceptible to their suggestions.

Family films are notorious for brainwashing when you least expect it. Take for instance the movie WALL-E.

According to Christopher Tucker “Wall-E fools you into thinking that robots are cute and lovable. We should trust them. We should listen to show tunes with them. That way, our defenses are nice and lowered, which will enable Skynet to commence Judgment Day. If you haven’t already, please don’t let your children watch Wall-E. The resistance is going to need all the hardcore robot hating soldiers it can get. Please, consider the future of our planet.”

So, do you think you might be safe letting your kids watch a Disney movie? Think again. According to The Minority Report Forum Walt Disney worked with the FBI from 1936 until his death in 1966 to provide “cartoons and other images” as propaganda for the U. S. government. Disney continues to use manipulation and mind-control programming in their movies and cartoons to this day.

NEWS PROGRAMS

News channels  and political parties often repeat a consistent message when they want to get their point across. Short snippets of information is also a common tactic on news networks.

One very effective method of brainwashing is to repeat the same information over and over again until it starts to penetrate your subconscious mind, convincing you that it must be the truth. Another way to bypass the conscious mind is to flash headlines at you. Most people only read the headlines when they are scanning the newspaper and these quick flashes of information tend to stick better than an entire article on the subject. This is also true with news programming. The less attention you pay the more you are brainwashed. It seems that the only thing you can do to avoid being brainwashed by the news would be to stop watching it.

It isn’t practical to stop watching or reading everything. So what do we do? PAY ATTENTION to what you read and watch. Be aware of the techniques being used on you, and most importantly question your own thoughts. Take nothing for granted and stop assuming that you are being told the truth or that “they” have your best interests at heart. In most cases they do not. Also, be aware of what your children are watching and reading. Because they are being affected much more than you ever thought possible.

Improve Self-Image in 4 Easy Steps

Listen to Your Thoughts

When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, consciously change them to positive ones. Constructive self-talk will have a positive influence on your self-esteem. Pay attention to where the thought originated. If the thought came to mind because of a past situation that wasn’t resolved, work on resolving the issue. If the thought is a reaction to something that’s happening at the moment, ask yourself if you are seeing the situation accurately or if you are being influenced by emotions.

Treat Yourself with Respect and Kindness

Forgive yourself when you make a mistake. Everybody slips up on occasion. Allow for imperfections without considering them to be a reflection on you. Appreciate yourself for the good things you do and the accomplishments you have made. Accept that you are a worthwhile and valuable person.

Identify 5 things that you like about yourself

Jot down 5 things you like about yourself in a daily journal. You have a lot of great qualities, and it helps to see them written down on paper. Whenever you are feeling down, get out your journal and read your list of good qualities out loud. This will cheer you up.

Laugh and Smile

Laughter is the best medicine. A good laugh relieves stress, lowers your blood pressure and makes you stronger.  A laugh releases feel good endorphins into your system, and it’s catching. When somebody sees you smile, they get those healing endorphins flowing through their bodies too.

Computers- R- Us

NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) is all about speaking to the unconscious mind in a language it can easily understand.

Believe it or not, the unconscious mind understands things differently than the conscious mind does. The unconscious mind is a great deal more complex. And guess what . . . We all have one! So we probably should learn to communicate with it.

The first thing that we learn in NLP is that the unconscious understands only positive statements. So if I were to say to you "I do not want you to do that." what your unconscious mind really hears is "I do want you to do that." Only the positives are heard. That is why we have so many problems getting our children to listen and obey. They are hearing something totally different than what we think we are saying. So next time, say it this way: "I want you to do this." Be specific and be clear.

Our beliefs affect our lives in many ways, some positive and some negative. Look at it this way. You could compare a newborn baby to a computer just out of the box. She has only been programmed for the very basic stuff (breathing, bodily functions, etc.) The first thing the baby learns to do is to cry. She cries a certain way to let her mother know she needs to be fed or changed. (Mom is also being programmed). As time goes by she will learn to smile, roll over, crawl and eventually walk. Everything this baby learns is a program. There will be times when she will learn things that are unproductive. Maybe she will learn that if she throws a tantrum she gets what she wants. When she is 30 years old she might still think that throwing a tantrum is the thing to do and this will be a problem for her.

Neuro-linguistic programming helps to delete these unproductive programs. NLP uses simple processes that work with the unconscious mind to get rid of old programs and create new ones. Hypnosis is an effective method, but not the only one. A time-line will take you back to the creation of a program, where it can easily be deleted or changed. These are only a few of the methods Neuro-linguistic programming uses to create change. Give it a try! You will be amazed at the difference NLP will make in your life!

The Extensive Use of NLP

Neuro-Linguistic  Programming (NLP)  is used extensively throughout almost every industry with arms that are far reaching, delving into area’s that are varied and at times surprising. The power’s that be have discovered the efficiency of NLP, and are using this valuable tool to full advantage. Even if you are not a professional of any kind, you should at least be aware of the powerful work that can be accomplished with the use of Neuro-linguistic Programming.

 Sales

There are NLP courses specially designed for professionals in the area of sales and marketing. People who rely on the ability to sell themselves in order to market a product or idea are specifically trained in the field of NLP. The training itself stresses the use of language, body language, modeling and other useful techniques to create rapport with the customer and encourage them to desire the product. The object is to convince the customer to purchase the product or commodity, and it works successfully. If you are interested in this kind of training, I recommend Persuasion Engineering. This course is taught by John LaValle and Richard Bandler. I attended the course in Orlando, Florida with my son. The object was to introduce my son to NLP, but I found it to be very helpful and effectual for me in my field of therapeutic NLP.

Marketing
Every time I turn on the television I am reminded of the strong use of NLP in marketing. It is even used more extensively with the invention of the mute button. The challenge for the advertiser is to get into your subconscious mind with fast paced flashing pictures, bright colors, and words written in bold letters across the screen that appeal to a particular targeted audience. They use convincing language for the few people that have forgotten to mute, and music that elicits a desired response from the potential customer. Marketing professionals are highly trained in NLP to use compelling, influential techniques to achieve their goal.

“One of the most consistently lucrative form of writing is that of writing advertising copy. This can encompass a wide range of media…from newspaper and magazine advertising to commercials written for radio, where the spoken word must carry the message…to television where images are used to enhance the written message…almost entirely replacing words with sound and visual stimuli."

Teaching
All teaching professionals should be trained in NLP, and many are. The mind of a young child is open and susceptible to influence whether productive or unproductive. It’s important for the teacher to understand that everything they do and say can have a strong influence in a child’s life. Neuro-linguistic Programming can help to train a child in learning techniques and give them the desire and self esteem to succeed in whatever they choose to do in life.

Sports
Successful sports professionals know the secret of using NLP to improve their game, expand on their desire to win, and to work out any issues that might be holding them back from achieving the desired results. Both NLP and hypnosis have been used over the years to improve the performance of many award-winning athletes.

"The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.”
Muhammad Ali

Acting
Neuro-linguistic Programming is an extremely important and frequently used skill by many in the acting profession. Although there are many of the NLP techniques they utilize, modeling is used by all of them. The ability to step into the shoes of the person they’re portraying is essential for them. They can become so into character that it becomes difficult to step out of character once filming has been completed. In order for an actor to play a part with convincing passion, they need to temporarily become that character in body movements, accent, emotions and beliefs. I admire the skills of a good actor. I’m reminded of Sally Field in Norma Rae and Sissy Spacek in Coal Miners Daughter., some examples of modeling a character in an inspired way.

“Actors with performance anxiety-Tip #3 is use Hypnosis, NLP, and Time line Therapy.”
- Angela Bailey, hypnotist

Comedy
Comedians are experts in the use of NLP. In fact, when I went to school to become a Master Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming, one of our assignments was to watch recordings of comedians such as George Carlin. Laughter and comedy can be very convincing, and they use NLP techniques in many cases without even being aware of it. They use nested loops, distraction, and appeal to all of the senses in ways that most people have never considered. Richard Bandler himself used George Carlin as a model at one time, to develop his art. Check out this video of a comedian, Richard Stockton who uses NLP to make people laugh.

Neuro-linguistic Programming is more prevalent in today's society than you might think. NLP's use takes on many forms and is used in many different venues. NLP is a skill that everyone should acquire.

Let's Part-y

“I always say, whatever you were at ten years old is what you’re going to be for the rest of your life.”
-Joy Behar

A golden tan and summer blonde hair, the child has been kissed by the sun. Her laugh is light and airy, like a children’s symphony. Dangling from the sturdy tree branch by the knees, she swings like a limber monkey. Only ten years old, her imagination takes her to the circus under the big top, where she is an acrobat in a colorful costume, performing wondrous feats. The crowd roars with pleasure and awe. This is as real to her as it is to brush her teeth, comb her hair or eat her lunch. Like a painting caught in a downpour, the colors bleed together to create a brand new masterpiece- a delight to the eye. Fantasy and reality meld together to become one in a child’s vivid imagination.

Yes, that little girl was me- a tomboy with scraped knees, torn clothes, dirty hands and endless energy. My dream was simple and straightforward. I wanted to be an acrobat. People change and so do our dreams. From playing make believe with my Barbie dolls at eleven, to becoming a married woman at the tender age of seventeen, a mother at nineteen and a widow at twenty-one, I dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer, actor, writer, poet, interior decorator, tailor, fashion model and a cookie chef.

How much of that little acrobatic tomboy still lives on inside of me? Am I still the same person down deep that I was then? Physically, of course not. Every part of our physical body is completely regenerated approximately every seven years. At the age of ten, was I already a fully developed, morally conscious, self realized human being? The answer of course is an emphatic "No!" I believe that there will always be a part of that ten year old acrobat hidden in me, just as the dancer still dances, the actor still acts and the cookie chef still bakes cookies. These are all parts of a whole, pieces of an immense jigsaw puzzle that is far from complete.

Parts integration is an NLP process used when a person indicates something like:
“A part of me wants to _________, but another part of me wants to _________”.
Locating these parts and developing communication between them can resolve conflicted feelings, and eliminate blocks that impede our progress. The important thing to realize here is that every part is right, although at times misguided, and generally has good intentions. Agreement among parts is an efficient way to eliminate procrastination and allow a person to accomplish great things.
I began my experience here in this carnal world with a clean slate, like a computer with only basic programming. The programming began right away. From the time the doctor smacked my bottom, I learned if I cried loud enough and long enough, I would be fed, changed, cuddled and essentially completely taken care of. From that moment on the programming continued. I developed, learned and thrived to become the person I am today and I will continue to advance from this day forward. We all have programs that applied at the time, but are now obsolete. If I continued to cry loudly in order to be taken care of at the age of 30, my loved ones would probably decide to "take care of me" by committing me to the nearest psychiatric ward. This is why old programs need to be deleted and replaced with productive programs that can change and alter with time and maturity.

In the game of life, each personality part is an essential slice of the proverbial pie. The sugar and the apples work together, combining the tart tang of desire and the sweet flavor of success. A common objective between parts can create peace, harmony and a tasty dessert at the end of a fantastic meal. There’s nothing better than that.
If you promise not to tell anybody, I will let you in on a secret. There are times when I feel the urge to go climb a tree, and sit atop the branches looking down at the brown clay earth in remembrance of those carefree days of youth. That part of me still feels the excitement and joy of an innocent, daydreaming child. She looks out through my eyes at the world and grins, knowing she has made her contribution.
Was that a lizard that just ran by? Excuse me while I run to catch it . . .

Self Talk

"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold is a wise reprover to an obedient ear."
-Proverbs 25:11

Pay close attention to what you say, the words you use, the tonality, and repetitive habitual utterances. Our oral communication has great power over our subconscious mind- more than you know.

Speak positive, inspirational, honest, loving and beautiful words, and those influences will prevail. Leave out the negative, argumentative and critical expressions.

Repetitive expressions such as "He's a pain in the neck." will keep the Chiropractor successful. Comments such as "She makes me sick!" or "He broke my heart." can literally make you ill. These are suggestions and are taken seriously by your subconscious. Therefore, they should be monitored. Your health may very well depend on it.

Yes- You Can!

Yes- You Can!

Achieve Personal Growth and Increase Confidence
Obtain a higher level of consciousness, resulting in an enhanced understanding of yourself and others. Realize self-actualization and successful personal achievement. Move forward with a purposeful and balanced stability, surrounded by an aura of self-confidence and pride.

Remove Limitations and Habits
Unresourceful limiting beliefs like I can't accomplish anything or I'm not good enough can hinder your progress in achieving reachable goals. Habits will be placed in your control. Only you can decide to eliminate unwanted behavior, allowing the clarity found in freedom of choice.

Lose Weight and Overcome Addictions
Successful weight reduction can be achieved by unlocking the hidden secrets of the unconscious mind. You can learn to understand the motivations creating any addictive behavior, thereby allowing you to address the specific issue at the place of it's origination. Once dealt with, a new and healthier way of thinking and living can be established.

Improve Relationships
By healing childhood issues that trigger relationship problems, you will be able to see the current situation more clearly. By changing or erasing the triggers that might cause negative reactions in yourself and others, you can improve friendships, family harmony and rapport with the people you work with everyday.

Two Wolves Metaphor- Parts Integration

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego."

"The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Happy New Year Motivations!

Happy New Year Motivations!

To get 2007 off to a great start, did you sit down and write out your New Year’s Resolutions? You know you did. Most of us do. At the time, we really meant it too, didn’t we? I know I did. My heart and motives were completely pure, and my resolve was unstoppable. Unfortunately, it only took a week to break the first resolution, which was to improve my diet by eating healthy, organic foods. I thought about this last night as I downed a bottle of 7-Up spiked with a shot of Canadian Mist, and a bowl of microwaved popcorn slathered in butter and caked with salt (the popcorn was actually organic, but the butter was not). The saddest part of all was that I didn’t feel the least bit of guilt or regret. Does anybody really keep these resolutions? Sure, it would be great if we could. So, how can we?

Resolve is essentially willpower, which means nothing without motivation backing it up. Motivation creates change by giving us a shove in the right direction. We are either attracted by the promise of a pleasurable reward, or forced along by the threat of pain and suffering. Without this motivational force, a resolution has no power. There must be some kind of immediate gratification to keep us on the right track. This is lacking in a resolution to lose weight, or any similar long-term goal. The promise of reward is too far off into the future, as is the threat of pain and suffering if you don’t eventually lose weight and get healthy.

The secret is too get the motivation going and keep it on track, until you arrive at your destination of a pleasurable reward. If you are working with an NLP Practitioner, many methods can stimulate motivation. I will give you a brief example here. Eyes can be closed or opened for this exercise.

1. Create a movie in your mind's eye that represents the undesireable state(for example, not being able to zip your pants, men looking away in disgust). Add sounds (grunting to zip your pants), and feelings (failure, unhappiness and defeat). This will represent the negative possiblities that you are propelled away from.
2. Grow this movie to a larger size, making it huge and monsterous, the sounds amplified, colors brighter, and the feelings stronger. Really FEEL, SEE AND HEAR the pain!
3. Once you have truly experienced the pain and misery of the undesirable state, change the movie to black and white, and shrink it down to a very small size, eliminating the sound effects. Place what is left of this movie behind you to represent the AWAY From state.
4. Now, create a positive movie in your mind that represents your desired state (for instance, yourself in a bikini- sexy and hot). Add sounds (waves crashing, or guys whistling), and feelings (the pleasurable sensation of KNOWING you look good, happiness, satisfaction and joy). Locate this movie in FRONT of you to represent the TOWARD state.

2. Magnify this picture- growing it bigger, louder and brighter in your mind. Step into the picture to experience rather then watch. It’s important to truly SEE, FEEL, AND HEAR how wonderful reaching your goal will be!

3. Step out of this movie, but keep the scene in front of you.

The object is to feel the need to run forward TOWARD your positive goal, and escape the monstrous negative possibilities by jumping into the positive movie headfirst.

This exercise works best when you have the guidance of an NLP Coach.

There are many methods to create motivation. For instance, hanging pictures of you all over the house at your goal weight (computers can do amazing things these days), or clothes in a smaller size just waiting to be worn. Positive affirmations when used consistently will propel you toward your goal. Be bold, creative, and most importantly POSITIVE. Your thoughts have a life of their own once you have formed them, so be responsible with your creations!

Have a happy and prosperous 2007!

Are you under a spell?

Down the winding stairs, Rebecca stepped carefully. In the darkness, she was afraid she might fall and tumble down the steps into the eerie tomb below. Reaching the bottom, she noticed the old woman sitting at the table in the corner, a small lamp providing a light so dim, it did not even cast a shadow. The haggard woman cackled at Rebecca as she took a seat on the wobbly chair. The old hag's voice cracked as she croaked out, " Somebody has cast a spell upon you. A dark cloud of sorrow hangs over your head."

"Ever since that night I have failed at everything I try to do." A sob escaped from Rebecca's throat and she looked frightened. Sitting across from me at the restaurant table she drank some water. Her hand shook and the water dribbled across the table.
"How do I break the spell? I don't even know who has cast it upon me!"

"The spell has no existence on it's own."
I told her "Your negative belief gives it power."

Am I saying that spells aren't real? They are real, if you make them real. By believing that you are under a spell, you can make your life miserable and disastrous. A spell is a habit that becomes deeply ingrained in your subconscious, an ugly darkness that permeates your every move.

How do you break the spell? First, you have to realize that it was created by you, and you are the only one who can destroy it. Once you come to that realization, you have won the battle. A religious ritual in which you invoke the Higher Power can also break the spell, creating a quality of grace that washes out the debris. A ritual is merely a process that is used to change your belief. In this way, the spell loses it's power and you will be back in control of your life.
